Mike Skidmore

Mike is an expert in helping organisations to 'live' their brand by delivering the promises made to customers through their communications and reputation. He 'translates' brands into language that is accessible and meaningful across cultures, aligns values to performance issues and works with departments and teams to agree their unique positioning, define their specific purpose and address the co-operation and silo issues that hamper engagement.   With a number of successful business ventures in the brand strategy sector under his belt, Mike has been fortunate enough to hold a variety of positions, including creative, managing and strategic director, that have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of how businesses, brands, management and people impact upon each other. Over the last eight years he has focussed his experience on internal brand issues where his expertise have been utilised by organisations such as The United Nations, The British Council, United Utilities, Diageo and Unilever. Mike is a motivational speaker for several leading agencies and delivers seminars and workshops on creativity, innovation and internal brand engagement subjects for organisations such as Cranfield University, Said Business School, Northampton University, Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Directors. Mike is also a mentor for a number of businesses and a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers for whom he has developed and delivered many brand best-practice initiatives.
